Vital Essentials Dog Food recall

Listeria bacteria is not only dangerous to dogs, it can also be deadly to small children, anyone with an auto immune disorder and the elderly.

Vital Essentials has taken it upon themselves to voluntarily recall two of their products due to potential listeria contamination. The items included in this voluntary recall:

The products were sold in the following states:
California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, New Mexico, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Rhode Island, Texas, Vermont, Washington

The products have been recalled because the U.S. Federal Food and Drug Administration tested the products and alerted Carnivore Meat Company that the items tested positive for Listeria.

Listeria is a bacteria commonly found in soil and water and some animals.

A representative will help you receive either a full refund or replacement.

If your package has been opened, please dispose the raw treats to ensure no animals or small children can access the food.
