RAM Trucks Recall Overview:

A problem with the rear axle heating is causing RAM to recall over 65,000 trucks. These trucks were manufactured between June and September 2015. The truck’s rear axle was not properly heat treated during manufacturing.

This can cause the axle to fracture and separate from the wheel, which can ultimately cause an accident while owners are driving. This issue has also been known to cause overheating – enough to cause the ABS light to illuminate on the dashboard.

The manufacturer is aware of one accident that this issue has caused, however no known injuries have been reported.
