Sticking Buckles on Children’s Car Seats

Graco Children’s Products is recalling certain car seats because buckles become stuck when they’re latched so they can’t be opened. This means, it may be difficult to remove a child from the seat in the even of a crash, fire, or an emergency in which a quick exit from the vehicle is necessary.

The affected Graco models were manufactured between July 2010 and May 2013. The brands involved in the recall are the SnugRide, SnugRide Classic Connect (including Classic Connect 30 and 35), SnugRide 30, SnugRide 35, SnugRide Click Connect 40, and Aprica A30.

The company will replace the product with a new design free of charge. While waiting for a replacement, cleaning the buckle will make for easier opening. For more information, call (877) 766-7470.
