452,000 Smoke Alarms Recalled Due to Risk of Failure

Kidde has recently issued a recall for its Kidde dual sensor smoke alarms, because, according to the CPSC, a yellow cap left on during the manufacturing process can cover one of the two smoke sensors and compromise the smoke alarm’s ability to detect smoke.

The recalled products can be identified by the model numbers PI2010 and PI9010, and they were sold at Menards, The Home Depot, Walmart and other department, home and hardware stores nationwide and online at Amazon.com, ShopKidde.com and other websites.

What you can do

Stop using the recalled products and contact the company for a free replacement. For further information the company can be reached at 833-551-7739 or at www.kidde.com.
