Cat Food Is Recalled Due to Listeria or E. Coli Contamination

Radagast Pet Food has recently issued a recall for its Rad Cat Raw Diet Free-Range Chicken Recipe and Rad Cat Raw Diet Pasture-Raised Venison Recipe, because, according to the FDA, they might contain  Listeria monocytogenes or E. coli O121 contamination.

Listeria can cause some symptoms like nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, abdominal cramping, and fever in humans, and vomiting, diarrhea, fever, muscular or respiratory signs and anorexia in pets.

E. coli O121 might cause symptoms like stomach cramps, mild fever and vomiting, and diarrhea, often with bloody stools in humans.
