Urban Outfitters has recalled nearly 12,000 teacups because they pose a fire threat. The cups are decorated with flowers that have golden accents. There are phrases such as “booze” and “more whiskey please” painted on their rims. “Microwave Safe” is also printed on the bottom of the cup, however, when placed in microwaves the golden accents can spark causing potential fires.
These 6 ounce cups were sold exclusively at Urban Outfitters between August 2014 and January 2015. There have been no reported injuries, however, consumers should immediately stop using the “cheeky” teacups and contact Urban Outfitters for instructions on how to receive a refund.
