Kraft Cheese Singles Recall

Kraft has recalled 36,000 cases of individually-wrapped cheese singles. The company has received ten complaints and three actual reports of choking.

Part of the wrapper can stick to the slice of cheese and could become a choking hazard.

The recall includes some of the three and four-pound packages of American and white American slices, Kraft reported. Those affected have a “best when used by” date between December 29, 2015, and January 4, 2016. The manufacturing code is either “S54” or “S55.”

Kraft issued the following statement:
“A thin strip of the individual packaging film may remain adhered to the slice after the wrapper has been removed. If the film sticks to the slice and is not removed, it could potentially cause a choking hazard.”

The packages involved in the recall were distributed to the United States, Puerto Rico and Grand Cayman.

Customers with a package of one of these products can return it to store of purchase for a full refund.
